Nigerian Music Legend Onyeka Onwenu Dies During Performance
Nigeria’s music icon, Onyeka Onwenu has reportedly died at 72.
According to eye witness to an online platform, the Niche, the veteran was said to have slumped at a birthday party organized by popular socialite, Mrs Stella Okoli in Lagos.
It was learnt that tragedy struck after she had finished performing at the party.
She was rushed to Reddington Hospital, Lagos but couldn’t make it.
“It is very sad. Onyeka Onwenu just performed at the birthday of Mrs. Stella Okoli today, and after performing, she slumped. She was taken to Reddington Hospital and she couldn’t make it,” the source said.
