ODUAFEST: FTAN VP Lauds Ekiti State Governor for Cultural Showcase at 1st 2024 Regional Tourism Integration Development Summit

The Vice President of the Federation of Tourism Associations of Nigeria (FTAN), South West, Mr. Olatunde Kolade has extended his heartfelt commendation to His Excellency, Governor Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti State stating that the Governor’s leadership was pivotal in showcasing Ekiti’s rich cultural heritage.

Subsequently, Governor Oyebanji’s unwavering support enabled the Ekiti State Bureau of Tourism Development, under the leadership of Barrister Wale Ojo-Lanre, to present the Ekiti indigenous cultural dance groups, Enudunjuyo and Ewa Asa, at the 1st Oduafest 2024 Regional Integration Tourism Development and Investment Summit.

The summit, held at the Cultural Center in Abere, Osogbo, Osun State, witnessed a stellar performance by the duo, leaving an indelible mark on the audience.

The first Oduafest organized by the Osun State Tourism Board and NIHOTOUR Western Zone, with NIHOTOUR South West also playing a significant role, the event celebrated regional integration and cultural tourism.

Mr. Kolade expressed his appreciation to Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State for hosting the event, and extended his gratitude to Deputy Governor Chief Kola Adewusi, who ably represented Governor Adeleke at the summit.
In particular , Mr. Kolade acknowledged the exceptional support and efforts of Governor Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti State, whose leadership was pivotal in showcasing Ekiti’s rich cultural heritage.

“The cultural content presented by the Ekiti State Bureau of Tourism Development was nothing short of exemplary,” stated Mr. Kolade.

“The performances by Enudunjuyo and Ewa Asa were a testament to the vibrancy and depth of Ekiti’s cultural traditions. I commend Governor Oyebanji and Barrister Ojo-Lanre for their dedication to promoting our heritage on such a prestigious platform.”

On NIHOTOUR part, they praised the Ekiti State Bureau of Tourism Development for curating the best cultural package at the summit, highlighting the importance of preserving and celebrating indigenous traditions.
